Invitation for Bids 1. The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (“ADB”) towards the cost of the Amu Bukhara Irrigation System Rehabilitation Project. Invitation for Bids 1. The Republic of Uzbekistan has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (“ADB”) towards the cost of the Amu Bukhara Irrigation System Rehabilitation Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. 2. The Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as “the Employer” invites sealed Bids from the eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of Modernization and Rehabilitation of Amu Bukhara Main Irrigation Canal Regulation Structures (“the Works”). The objectives of these works is to increase the water efficiency in the main conveyance canal namely Amu Bukhara Main Canal (ABMC). For this purpose, it is decided to modernize and rehabilitate / reconstruct 36 structures at 10 locations on ABMC. This will reduce the energy consumption by decreasing water losses and supplying more sustained and reliable water to the water consumers.
