The Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center has a requirement for project 256, Roof Repair. This project shall require repairs to roofs #30, #31, and #34 at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, testing and reports in accordance with all federal, state and local codes and regulations.
This acquisition is in accordance with FAR Part 13 - SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES.
This requirement is a Request for Proposal and is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Additionally, this acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 14, Sealed Bidding. The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. The Period of Performance will be 90 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation documents, including scope of work, will be available electronically on or about Aug 24th, 2015, at the following website: www.fbo.gov Interested contractors will search for solicitation VA244-15-B-1333 to access solicitation documents and any amendments. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. Firms must be small business under relevant North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code and the must be registered and current in the following websites: https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1 and www.vetbiz.gov The NAICS code for this project is 237310, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held within two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation.

Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. To be considered for award all prospective contractors must be in compliance with VAAR 819.7003 and be verified for eligibility in the VIP database at www.vetbiz.gov , on the date and time proposals are due.
