The American Consulate General, Frankfurt hereby provides the following Pre-Solicitation Notice in respect of the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: Construction services for the complete interior and exterior renovation of US Government residential villa located on #37 Road 206, Maadi, Cairo, Egypt. The solicitation may result in the award of a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Type Contract in the third quarter of 2016. The scope of work requires the successful Contractor to provide professional construction services necessary to meet the requirements of the contract within the established schedules. The project includes complete interior and exterior renovation of the building and grounds of US Government residential villa located on #37 Road 206, Maadi, Cairo, Egypt. A pre-proposal conference and site visit is scheduled for 10:00 hours Central European Time (CET) on May 24, 2016 at #37 Road 206, Maadi, Cairo, Egypt. The estimated magnitude for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 U.S. Dollars for the entire project. Companies interested in the solicitation shall express their interest by written correspondence to the attention of Colum Mullan e-mail address mullanpc@state.gov, no later than 15:00 hours CET on May 20, 2016 using the solicitation number SGE500-16-R-0075 in the subject line. This announcement was originally posted to FBO under the solicitation no. W912ER-15-R-0019, but has been renumbered due to the new Fiscal Year. This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting contractors interested in submitting a proposal for the Design-Build renovation of the central fire protection infrastructure at the Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) - Three campus in Cairo, Egypt. The Transatlantic Division, Middle East District (TAM), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price design-build construction contract that includes the Renovation of existing fire water storage tanks, replacement of existing fire pumps, and appurtenances; and associated site utilities. The existing campus fire suppression Infrastructure is inadequate to meet the demand, and the system requires repair and expansion. General elements of renovation work include, but are not limited to, the following: - Repair of existing water storage tanks. - Replacement and reconfiguration of existing fire pumps, controls, and piping. - Associated Fire Protection site utilities - Architectural and/or Structural repairs to the existing fire pump house. Offerors will be required to submit Experience (Factor 1), Understanding of Project Requirements (Factor 2), and Past Performance (Factor 3) information on relevant projects to be described in the RFP. July 20, 2015 PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Solicitation No. SGE50015R0106 The Regional Procurement Support Office located at the American Consulate General, Frankfurt, Germany, hereby provides the following Pre-solicitation Notice with respect to the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: Elevator Replacement at the U.S. Embassy Cairo, Egypt. The contract work includes, but is not limited to: • Removing, in its entirety, the existing ESCO roped hydraulic elevator, to include removing the cab, guide rails, hoistway door equipment, pit equipment including oil, old plungers and cylinders located on opposite sides of the hoistway on the main rails, overhead equipment, and all machine room equipment. • Delivery and installation of an all- inclusive Machine Room Less (MRL) elevator package including, but not limited to: an Alternating Current (AC) hoist motor, Variable Voltage Variable Frequency AC (VVVFAC) regenerative drive, and Microprocessor based controls. • Provision and installation of Standby Power Provisions to ensure the elevator may be operated on a standby power source of normal voltage characteristics via normal electrical feeders at the same time at full-contract car speed and capacity with time delay of 30 - 45 seconds for the pre-transfer signal when changing back to normal power. • Provision of one-year preventive maintenance service package. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract is anticipated to be awarded in fiscal year 2015 as a result of this solicitation. In accordance with the categories specified in FAR 36.204, "Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects", the total price for this project is estimated to range between U.S. Dollars 5 and 10 Million. (Note: the prescribed FAR range determinations provide relatively wide ranges only, in order to give potential offerors a very general orientation as to the magnitude of the work. However, the specified range is not meant to give any indication as to the Independent Government Cost Estimate for this project, which could be at the lower or the upper end of the range indicated). Companies considering participation in this procurement action shall request a copy of the RFP by email to gussw@state.gov and FrankfurtRPSO@state.gov, preferably not later than July 30, 2015. These requests (and all further communication regarding this project) shall state the company name and the solicitation number SGE50015R0106 in the subject line of the email. Your request must include the following company data: Name of Company; complete physical and mailing address; valid DUNS Number and proof of SAM registration (or indication that SAM registration will be obtained); name, telephone number, and email address of the Company Point of Contact.
