Construction of Ormiston Sports Pavilion

Works comprise the design and build of a new sports pavilion including all incoming services and drainage, and the demolition of the existing sports changing pavilion including all service disconnections and removal of redundant services.
The successful contractor must organise all permissions including Planning Consent, Building Warrant and Demolition Warrants and for liaison with public utilities for disconnections and new connections of supplies and drainage.
Building to be designed to allow for a swift construction period on site. Consideration should be given to an engineered building with the main structure constructed off site in factory conditions, or modular construction with large components such as external wall panels manufactured off site. All finishes as far as is practical to be completed prior to arrival on site to minimise on site construction period and disruption within the public park.
If an engineered building is proposed the structure of the units must have BBA certification for a minimum of 60 years. Copy of certification must be returned as part of the submitted tender.
The buildings and all elements including materials and workmanship must comply with the relative British Standards and European Standards.
The buildings must comply with the Building Standards (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the October 2015 Technical Handbook for non-domestic buildings.
