The Education Authority is now seeking PQQ submissions from Building Contractors to allow for the establishment of a NEW Pre-Qualified List of Building Contractors (PQL-BW) for the delivery of construction work projects from £30k to £EU threshold. When the PQL-BW has been established it is proposed that for a period up to a maximum of 4 years it would be utilised by the Education Authority to pre-qualify Contractors for the delivery of Construction Works Projects subject to the value of the project remaining below Threshold.
The DPS is to supply construction works, with or without design work and with and or without land. It is envisaged the works will primarily range from New Build Social Housing to New Build Affordable Housing. The works may also include property refurbishment. Contractors may be expected to provide design elements to the project ranging from limited instructed design to a full IDT capable of producing high calibre design. Contractors may also from time to time present options for design and construction including the sale / acquisition of land. Contractors may present options periodically or the contracting authority may tender such requirements during the 4 year activation period. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to pick multiple winners from each competition.
The contract is for the Design and Construction of the new Erne Campus for the South West College. The project is to be constructed on the former Erne Hospital site at Cornagrade Road, Enniskillen. The project will include full construction works, mechanical and electrical services, external and site development works including upgrading the existing site access. The facilities will be designed and constructed to achieve BREEAM outstanding and PassivHaus Premium standards and certification. The Contracting Authority have engaged an integrated consultancy team (ICT) to develop designs, obtain planning approval and prepare the contract documents.
