Transport for London (TfL) is looking to enter a competitive procurement process with a view to awarding a long-term availability contract for the design, construct, finance and maintenance of a new river crossing between Silvertown and Greenwich Peninsula in east London. The river crossing, to be called Silvertown Tunnel, will comprise of a twin bore road tunnel alongside Blackwall Tunnel with connections to the A1020 Silvertown Way/Lower Lea Crossing at the north and to the A102 Blackwall Tunnel approach at the south. It is proposed that user charging will be applied to manage congestion and help fund the scheme, although this will not form part of the contract.

E39 Eiganes tunnel (3.7 km tunnel) is part of the coastal main road between Kristiansand and Trondheim and built in conjunction with rv.13 Ryfast consisting of Ryfylke tunnel (14.3 km tunnel) from Strand to Hundvåg and Hundvåg tunnel (5.5 km tunnel ) further from Hundvåg to E39.

This contract involves pumping technical facilities in all 3 tunnels.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (SVV) has been tasked with investigating technical solutions to replace all ferry services on E39 with fixed connections. Altogether there are eight ferry services along the route, and five of these fjords are too broad and deep for traditional bridge and tunnel technology to be used. The fjords concerned are Bjørnafjorden, Sulafjorden, Sognefjorden, Halsafjorden and Vartdalsfjorden, and it is ‘Ferry Free E39 sub-project Fjord Crossing’ that has the task of developing concepts for safe and effective crossing of these fjords. The concepts that have been investigated so far fall primarily into three categories: Pontoon bridge, hereunder floating bridge with tension leg anchored towers (TLP type), side anchored floating bridge and floating bridge with only end-anchoring. — Suspension bridge with one or more spans, including suspension bridge on floating foundations. — Submerged floating tunnel, hereunder tension leg anchored or pontoon stabilised. The concepts have different challenges, but commonly they are all very long, slim structures, with significant dynamic stress from wind and waves. The dimensions will vary from fjord to fjord, and between concepts, but the typical bridge length is between 3 000 m and 5 000 m. With the exception of the tunnel bridge, evaluation of wind and wind power is an extremely important part of the design work. It is therefore necessary to carry out experiments in a wind tunnel.

Framework agreements with be signed with three tenderers in each sub-contract.

As part of the increase in tunnel safety, the Federal Roads Office in 2018 intended - 2022 escape Departures for the tunnel Crapteig create. Components of the project "N13 safety tunnel Tunnel Crapteig" are the construction of the security lug (Sisto) incl. Cross-links and connections to the tunnel, the creation of the portal stations north and south, the central center and the connecting tunnels and the new headquarters premises for the BSA / ventilation of tunnels. 
Not included in the project are rehabilitation measures in the tunnel, the creation of the fire water supply incl. Hydrant line, the drawing in of transit lines and equipping of additional headquarters premises. Not part of this announcement is the equipment of Sisto and Portal stations with the BSA facilities.
The Sisto Crapteig consists of the walk Sisto, eight interconnections (QV) of the tunnel, a new headquarters center, which via a connecting tunnel directly to the existing central Mitte (CMI) is connected, and the portal stops south and north. The Sisto axis located approximately 26 m east of the tunnel axis, the distance to the portals increases towards. The Portal stations include the lock and various technical areas. Additionally, spaces for the supply of the tunnel Crapteig are created, which form combined with the Buildings Sisto rooms. From portal to portal Sisto measures 2'036 m (excl. QV).

Nordby tunnel shall be renovated and two-way traffic shall be established in the

southbound lanes. Local SRO installations, speed limit signs, signs for
