Izmir Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) ("the Employer") intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("the Bank") as part of a banking syndicate towards the cost of Izmir Light Rail Transit System - Fahrettin Altay - NarlIdere (Izmir Metro project II).
The project will consist of civil works for extension of metro line by 7.2 kilometres from Fahrettin Altay to Narlıdere districts and construction of 7 underground stations. The contract will include excavation works, concrete works, electromechanical installations, furnishings.
The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 280 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following components:
Tendering for the above contract is expected to begin in Q1 2017.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank, will be subject to the Bank’s Procurement Policies and Rules ("EBRD PP&R") and will be open to firms from any country.
The proceeds of the loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
