The United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) hereby solicit Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified Contractors for the Provision of Construction Site Management Training Services to UNMISS personnel either at the UNMISS Base in Torit, South Sudan as stated herein. Introduction: The objective of the Construction Site Management Training Services Course is to equip UNMISS personnel who supervise site works with theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to supervise construction projects safely, effectively and efficiently. The training course will enable participants to: a). Learn the management, safety, gain skills in estimating and environmental aspects of construction management necessary for overall planning and control of construction projects. b). Gain problem-solving skills to determine costs, establish schedules and apply time-value-of-money concepts to effectively evaluate alternatives. c). Enhance and/or develop ability to interpret construction material properties and standards, and acquire perspectives on emerging issues in construction management. Course Content: The Construction Site Management Training Course will focus on the following key areas (among others): a). Site Work/Activity Planning/ Scheduling (sequence of work) b). Resources/Materials/Equipment Planning to meet work requirements c). Control of Work/Monitoring & Supervision of work progress at site d). Quality Control/Assessment/Assurance e). Management and Maintenance of Project Materials and Equipment f). Site Construction/Good Occupational Working Relationships at the site g). Health, Safety, Risk Control Measures h). Environmental Impact Assessment i). Contractual Obligations/Responsibilities of the Site Manager Description of General requirements: 1. The institution that will be contracted to deliver the training in supply chain management shall be an internationally accredited and recognized training institution approved by the relevant international standards agency authorizing the conduct of the training and award certificates. For this reason, the curriculum to be used for the supply chain management training must be a duplicate of the internationally approved Training and Development Institute curriculum. 2. The target audience for this programme are Mission personnel in the Engineering Section engaged in handling and supervising construction activities. 3. The training will be conducted in one (1) session of five (5) working days during the month of May of 2015. The training session will be conducted at the UNMISS Base/Camp in Torit, South Sudan. The actual training dates will be disclosed at the time of solicitation. 4. The Service Provider must use participatory training methodologies and Adult Learning concepts in the delivery of the programme to adequately benefit the trainees. 5. The Service Provider shall be responsible for all travel, accommodation and subsistence allowance arrangements for its training consultants. 6. The Service Provider shall be responsible for providing all training materials required in the training including but not limited to manuals and hand-outs to participants as hard copies.

The United Nations Interim Security Force For Abyei (UNISFA) is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) from interested and qualified companies wishing to be considered in soliciation for the construction of the Reinforced Concrete “Culvert Bridges” in Abyei Administrative Area AAA), Sudan-South Sudan Borders. The recommended period for the implementation of this project is between February and July months. At Abyei Area, rainy season starts during May month with light showers and it reaches its peak of heavy rains in July and August; however, the targeted locations will be under water until February or March months. The contractor may initiate the mobilization and other preparation works between January and March. THE PROPOSED PROJECT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING MAJOR TASKS: i) Creation of road diversion/bypass for traffic movement by leveling, compaction of the existing soil with shortest possible route ii) Removal of the existing culverts (40f containers) and removal of existing dirt road for the construction of the reinforced concrete culvert iii) Excavation to the appropriate level in sand/silt soil and lay a layer of lateritic soil with compaction for the construction of culvert footing iv) Construction of reinforced concrete culvert v) Backfilling, compaction and reopening of the main route through the constructed culvert Two (2) types are required to be constructed at 3 locations between Todach (Um-Balayil) and Diffra as follows: 1. CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES NEED TO BID FOR BOTH SYSTEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY. Bidding for only one system will lead to immediate disqualification. Although construction companies will bid for both systems separately, yet while bidding care should be taken to consider common elements as mentioned in separate BOQ.

The UNICEF water supply system will be constructed and operated under BOT basis wherein it will be guided by the enclosed concessionaire agreement. The UNMISS water supply system will be constructed and handed over after the designated defect liability period.
