General information about the object:
EU project Probis.
The City of Borlänge, through its housing company Stora Tunabyggen AB participates in the EU project Probis where the aim is to procure innovative solutions for heat recovery ventilation systems and energy efficiency in renovation of apartment buildings. Borlänge is the beginning of a long process of renovation of its housing stock and especially the houses built during the housing programs in the 1960's and 70's. The process will take place in stages and the estimated time for implementation is more than 10 years.
The purpose of Borlänge's participation in the project Probis is to contribute to the development and marketing of innovative solutions. Innovation in Probis project can be cutting-edge technology and the best performance, but may as well be about innovation and adaptation of existing technologies to new sustainable solutions.
The procured solution is about to install a new ventilation system with FTX-units, ducts, silencers, fire dampers and all necessary components and measures of FTX system in an existing apartment building. Reconstruction and sealing of the existing natural ventilation towards a heat recovery system is included. The contractor shall describe how the work will proceed with the refurbishment / sealing of existing natural ventilation system.
A system for exhaust and supply air ducts in the apartments and in the building (stairways or basement) should be developed. The contractor should try to do the installations for air duct system, aggregates and other components without having a fan room built on the roof or in the attic.
The innovation sought for in this procurement is about a ventilation system that is designed for cost-effective installation in apartment buildings. The Tenants should be able to stay at their homes during renovation actions as far as possible.
The expectations for the solution is a ventilation system that is flexible, energy efficient, quick and easy to install, which does not take up too much space in the building, which is based on components that are easy to obtain and replace and which has a simple and low frequency maintenance.
In order to determine what is innovative and what is the best solution, a system solution must be evaluated based on several aspects:
— Flexibility (simplicity to adapt to different existing systems);
— Energy efficiency;
— Time for installation in total;
— Time for work in each apartment;
— Minimum impact of proposed solutions leasable area;
In the tender specification the demands for innovative solutions are made based on above mentioned aspects.
In order to evaluate this pilot project from Tunabyggen side and at the same fulfil the project guidelines, it is important to carry out a measurement and evaluation of completed installations and the achieved performance of the installed system.
A mandatory requirement in the tender document is that the contractor accepts and participates in the measurements and evaluations which Tunabyggen and the project is implementing.
Kv. Helmet Inge 1 consists of two pieces of 5-storey building with the address Elinsborgsbacken 6-12 in Tensta, and was built in 1970.
On the ground floor are storage rooms, technical rooms, shelters and premises. Shared laundry room is located on the ground floor Elinsborgsbacken 10. The farm has a stand-alone environment cabin.
The contract relates to the total refurbishment of two pieces of residential buildings containing 50 apartments. Detached cottage environment farm finishes renovated and fitted with glazed sections and large parts of the farm renewed.
