The anticipated performance period is from March 2017 to September 2017. Curtiss-Wright is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Secondary Propulsion System (SPS) Rotational Deployment Mechanism (RDM). Curtiss-Wright is the only source that can provide the refurbishment services; and has not authorized the use of their drawings by any third party. Curtiss-Wright is a large business.
The Navy Experimental Diving Unit located in Panama City, Florida needs the refurbishment of six each subtox monitors. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to ENMET, LLC 680 Fairfield Ct, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108 (CAGE Code 57529). This presolicitation is being conducted under the provisions of FAR Part 6.302-1. ENMET is the orginal end manufacturer of the subtox monitor, per attached justification.
