Akershus Castle — construction management

The project shall ensure improved accessibility for the most important sections of Akershus Castle due to the Castle's major symbolic value and its important function as the Norwegian Government's representation premises. Akershus Castle is automatically listed in accordance with the Norwegian Cultural Heritage Act § 4. An electric lift and a new stair in the Blåtårnet (the Blue Tower) at the Akershus Castle, from the basement to the first floor, shall be established. Access to the building shall be made by adapting the entrance from the courtyard to the lower floor/basement Access without steps or by movable ramps in the passage between the Tower and other sections of the Castle, shall be established.

The project should ensure improved availability of the most important parts of Akershus Castle because of the castle's enormous symbolic value and important feature that government representation purposes. Akershus Castle is automatically protected under the Cultural Heritage Act § 4. There shall be established electric elevator and new stairs in Blåtårn at Akershus Castle from the basement to the 2nd floor. Access until the building is done by adapting the entrance from the courtyard to the ground floor / basement floor. In addition will be established step-free access, or removable ramps transitions between the tower and other parts of the castle.

Jernbanemuseet - Lokomotiv Hall upgrade and expansion

Norwegian Railway Museum is Strandvegen 136 in Hamar. In the outdoor area which is part of the museum was in the 70s listed a simpler construction for the storage and exhibition of locomotives. The building is an approximately 670 m2 uninsulated hall with frame of laminated wood, sinus corrected steel plates on facades and flat roof with internal drainage. There is electricity, but no water and drain. The hall is unheated. The floor is paved.

The existing hall will be upgraded with new insulated exterior wall of sandwich elements to facilitate heating of the building (minimum temperature of 12 degrees C). The hall will also be expanded by approximately 100 m2 to the northwest to accommodate toilets and showrooms.
