The contract involves conducting archaeological research for the project "Huys Ackers - Silver Job".
In 2016 the municipality of Veldhoven start preparing for the construction of the Silver alley that connects the Oers Job and Heerbaan with the A67 and the N69 future. In addition, preparations are underway for site preparation of the housing plan Huys Ackers, located directly east of the Silver Course.
In 2010 took place on a large number of lots a large-scale archaeological trial trenching in this area. Partly in the Silver Course route and to a large extent also the place where the new village will be built Huys Ackers. Following the results of the trial trenching by the municipality a number of locations by means of a selection decision (19.7.2011) indicated that prior to the planned development further investigation should be done by excavation (action card, red). The sub Silver alley extending from the Rotunda Heerbaan - Oers alley in the north to the Knegselseweg in the south, covers a total area of approximately 5.85 hectares. Huys Ackers subarea within the outline zoning plan, which to a large extent should be further investigated by excavation, covers an area of approximately 16.2 hectares.
