The Theemswegtracé project comprises an approximately 4 kilometer long railway line that runs on an elevated concrete work along the Theemsweg and Neckarweg. The route includes two steel arch bridges (at the Rozenburgse Luis and the Thomassen Tunnel) and connect on both sides with the existing railway from the Port Railway. For the realization of the Theemswegtracé opted for a split between the civil construction (including 2 steel rail bridges) and railway construction, separate contracts respectively called "base" and "superstructure". The realization of the substructure is the subject of this tender.
