2. Andhra Pradesh Road development Corporation (APRDC, the “Employer”), invites
sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of above mentioned works.
The road works consist of widening and strengthening of existing two lanes to standard 4-lane
carriage way and construction of grade separator (Trumpet) at NH16 junction. The cross
drainage works include reconstruction and widening of culverts and bridges. Some new
structures may also be constructed based on requirement. The items of work includes
Earthworks, Granular Sub-base, Wet Mix Macadam, Dense Bituminous Macadam, Bituminous
Concrete, Plain/Reinforced Cement Concrete, Well foundations, Protection works, Concrete
Lined Drains, Road Furniture and other miscellaneous works. Miscellaneous works includes
provision of protection measures for cut slope, construction of retaining wallers, breast walls and
wing walls, road furniture, etc. Environmental and Social management aspects also form a
component of the project.

at Bengaluru. The scanned copy of the demand draft shall be uploaded at the time of
online bid submission and original shall be handed over as detailed in Section 21.1 (a) of
the bid data sheet. Bids without this payment and proof of payment shall be rejected.
6. Bids shall be submitted in electronic mode on the Government of Karnataka’s e-
procurement portal: www.eproc.karnataka.gov.in using digital signature by 9 June 2017,
1500 hours Indian Standard Time (IST) (“e-system deadline”). The e-procurement portal has
all the user manuals, guides, and FAQs to facilitate understanding and use. To participate in the
bidding, it is mandatory for the Bidders to have a valid registration of their firm/ JV with the e-
procurement portal and to have and active user ID & password. Registration requires an annual
registration charges of INR 500/- (please check the prevailing amount on the portal) through the
e-payment gateway. Bidders should also have a valid digital certificate issued by the national
certificate authorities, which are also linked at https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in. The complete Bid
document can be viewed/ downloaded by the Bidder from the e-procurement portal. Bidders
may peruse the details in the Data Sheet.
• While bids shall be submitted electronically, specific documents mentioned in Bid
Data Sheet 21.1(a) will be physically submitted in a sealed envelope by 12 June
2017, 1500 hours Indian Standard Time (IST) (“deadline for manual submission of
bids.”) The scanned copy of the documents submitted physically would also be needed
to be submitted online, along with the other uploaded e-procurement documents by the
e-system deadline. In the event of any inconsistency between the hard and soft copies,
the hard copy shall prevail.
• Bid preparation and submission requirements are detailed in the Bid Data Sheet.
Bidders shall submit their bids electronically only and manual submissions will not be
accepted. Refer attachment 1 to Section 2 – Bid Data Sheet for additional information.
• Bids of all the bidders who submitted bids within the prescribed time will be opened
electronically in the presence of their authorized representatives immediately after the
online bid submission deadline (i.e. 12 June 2017, 1500 hours, IST).
7. Queries, if any, will be clarified during the Pre-Bid Meeting on 10 March 2017. The
queries need to be uploaded on the e-procurement website, that is, www.eproc.karnataka.gov.in
on or before 6 March 2017 at 17:30 hours Indian Standard Time (IST).
8. All the bidders are advised to read the conditions of the bid carefully before uploading
the bid document.
