Contract for the design and construction of improvement works to the existing waste-water collection network at various locations within the town and environs of Letterkenny, County Donegal. The improvement works consists of the construction of new foul/combined sewer pipelines, the construction of a new storm water culvert, and the rehabilitation of existing foul/combined sewer pipelines.

The proposed Contract includes the design and construction of the elements listed below. All figures are approximate and subject to the acceptance of the successful tenderers final design:

— 450/400 mm diameter sewer 1 410 metres length from Glencar Road at the junction with McGovern Road, along New Line Road, and High Road to the junction of Upper Main Street and Rathmelton Road;

— 300 mm diameter sewer 150 metres length at Beechwood Road;

— 300 mm diameter sewer 15 metres across Glencar Road;

— 300 mm diameter new branch interception sewers approximately 60 metres length from New Line Road to College Road;

— 300/450/500 mm diameter sewer pipeline approximately 1 520 metres length from Gortlee Road (adjacent to No 1 Ceannan Court), along the N56, through the N56/Rathmelton Road roundabout, along Rathmelton Road and within the Ballyraine Industrial Estate;

— 225 mm diameter branch interception sewer pipeline of approximately 15 metres length across part of the N56;

— 300 mm diameter branch sewer pipeline approximately 55 metres length along Kiltoy Road from its intersection with the N56;

— 300 mm diameter branch interception sewer of approximately 17 metres across Rathmelton Road;

— 300 mm diameter main sewer pipeline approximately 590 metres length from Glenwood, along Circular Road to the junction with Long Lane;

— 225 to 450 mm diameter main sewer approximately 625 metres length from Ballymacool / Convent Road / Oldtown Road to Pearse Road at the junction with Larkin's Lane;

— 450/600 mm diameter main sewer pipeline approximately 235 metres length at Duffy's Lane and Rosemount Terrace;

— 300 mm diameter main sewer pipeline approximately 130 metres length at Church Lane;

— 200/250 mm diameter main sewer pipeline approximately 540 metres length at Carnamuggagh / Knocknamona;

— 600 mm diameter main sewer pipeline of approximately 50 metres length at Station Roundabout;

— 300 mm diameter main sewer pipeline of approximately 65 metres length at St. Oliver Plunkett Street;

— 300 mm diameter main sewer pipeline of approximately 85 metres length at Upper High Road (Sprackburn) and approximately 35 metres length in adjacent private lands;

— 150 mm diameter main sewer pipeline of approximately 100 metres length at New Brook Court;

— 300 mm diameter main sewer pipeline of approximately 115 metres length at Magheranan Heights;

— 150 mm diameter main sewer pipeline of approximately 30 metres length at Aldi car park, Rathmelton Road;

— 750 mm diameter main storm water culvert of approximately 690 metres length at Circular Road.

Pre-qualification and Short Listing.

Cork County Council wish to procure a contractor to construct a Proposed Housing Scheme. The proposed scheme (Phase 1) comprises of 49 No housing units, complete with associated site development and infrastructural works at Kilnagleary Carrigaline, Co. Cork. The housing mix comprises 28 No 2 beds, 16 No 3 beds and 5 No 4 beds in terraced format.

These services (Contract Lot 2) are to be provided for the central (roughly) third of the road development area only, namely from the western boundary of the townland of Coolavokig (site of proposed underbridge S10A/10B), at approximate chainage 17,460, crossing the townlands of Coolavokig, Lackaneen, Lissacresig, Carrignamaddry, Inchinilinane, Carrigaphooca, Kilaclug, Glananarig, and terminating in the townland of Clonfaddda at the local road L7456 (approx. chainage 24,360), where the Clonfadda Overbridge is proposed—a total distance of approximately 6 900 linear metres.
