Trinity College Dublin (http://www.tcd.ie) is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to provide a construction package for the new resilient power upgrade in the LLoyd Building.
The Disaster Recovery Project comprises the installation of an electrical backup power system to provide emergency power to parts of the High Performance Computing system which are located in the Lloyd Building at Trinity College Dublin 2. The proposed system would provide power in event of ESB Networks mains failure or disconnection for a prolonged period of time. The proposed system will provide a new backup power supply by generator and also by UPS battery system. The works will also include disconnecting and removing the existing generator which provides power to the building life safety systems, and providing supply to the existing life safety systems from the new generator.
This proposed upgrade with be located in an existing building, Lloyd Institute Building, on main campus located in the centre of Dublin city, see http://www.tcd.ie/Maps/
It is also expected that the contractor selected will have implemented working knowledge and best practice skills comensurate with the project.
The major sub-systems or tasks envisaged are; utility interface(s), power distribution, UPS, backup generator, computer racks, cooling systems, routes, ducts and containment, management and monitoring of equipment.

Proposed Stairwell Works and Fire Upgrade Works at Kinsale Community Hospital

Kinsale Community Hospital is a two storey building dating back to 1873, located in Rathbeg, Kinsale, Co. Cork. It provides long-term, respite and palliative care for 40 older people of mixed dependency. Other facilities on site include a day-care centre.
The proposed works under consideration comprise the construction of two new stairwells to the existing building, together with lift installation, internal reconfiguration works and fire upgrade works. Works will be completed on a phased basis within a fully live community hospital facility, with no disruption to services allowable.

N63 Abbeyknockmoy to Annagh Hill Road Scheme

The N63 Abbeyknockmoy to Annagh Hill Road Scheme comprises upgrade and improvement works to approximately 3.2km of the existing single carriageway near Abbeyknockmoy in Galway, Ireland.
The N63 National Secondary road links Moylough in East Galway to Galway City via the N17 national road. The proposed scheme, extends eastwards from the townland of Annagh Hill to immediately west of Abbeyknockmoy village.  It will link the N17/ N18 Motorway Junction at Annagh Hill with a section of the N63 which has been recently upgraded (west of Abbeyknockmoy village).  It will also link this recently upgraded N63 section with the village of Abbeyknockmoy.
Works include fencing, site clearance, traffic management, earthworks, drainage, services, pavement, signage, landscaping, accommodation works, kerbing, footway/cycleway construction, safety barrier installation and other associated ancillary items.

Emergency Works 2016 - To Provide Access, Toilet Facilities, Platform Lift and Replace Pathways

Contractors are invited to tender for the provision of universal access for all both on the approach to the school and also to include for unrestricted circulation throughout the school building. The following is a summary of the works required.
1.	Install ramped access to each entrance / fire escape door of the girl's school, breakfast club and general purpose hall.
2.	Install an external ramp to access both the play area.
3.	Resurface the footpaths on approach routes.
4.	Install an internal lift to provide access to the first floor classrooms.
5.	Provide level access toilet facilities.
6.	Electrical, fire alarm, intruder alarm and platform lift alterations are the responsibility of the main Contractor.  The latter will engage suitably qualified domestic sub-contractors who are capable of design and installation of the above services
7.	The Main Contractor will be appointed as Project Supervisor (Construction Stage) in Health and Safety matters.
8.	All other works necessary for the proper completion of the project whether or not expressly stated in the contract documents

Detailed Structural Investigation Contract at North Quays, Waterford City

The structural investigation is required to allow a detailed assessment of
the existing North Berths and Frank Cassin Wharf pile supported structures to be carried out.
Waterford's North Quays wharf structure comprise two distinct structural
arrangements, notably: (1) a reinforced concrete (RC) braced frame;
and (2) a steel encased RC pile structure with RC beam and one-way
spanning slab. The total wharf structure plan area measures approximately 14,000 square metres. In addition, structural investigations will also be carried out at the proposed location of the pedestrian footbridge landing on the South Quays.
The structural investigation contract includes vertical and horizontal coring, concrete break-outs, ferro-scan surveys and half cell potential &
resistivity surveys of RC beams, slabs and pier supports. The
Contractor shall act as PSCS for the duration of the Works.
