The project Climate town in Middelfart - Skanderborg Climate Adaptation implemented as a partnership between Realdania, Middelfart Sewage A / S and Middelfart Municipality. The project includes overall establishment of a number of facilities for stormwater management in the city surfaces that complement the existing sewerage network with additional capacity, flexibility and robustness. Climate Adaptation Solutions must be designed in a way that as a whole fits into the city and at the same time contributing to the townscape and the urban quality and life. The project area is overall just over 450 000 m² and the area extending from the villa neighborhoods in Middelfart's western outskirts, through the central city and the old town at the harbor. The project area is divided into three strands, which are offered as separate main contracts, in addition a supply of 'Aktivitetssskoven' so that expectedly will be offered 4 separate main contracts. This Order awarding the order relates Subarea 2 -Allékvarteret.
This offering of Aspect 2 - adaptation of Alle neighborhood, made up of an area in the middle part of the city climate strategy for the area is to utilize the terrain's natural fall to divert rainwater from road surfaces, on to the belt. The aim is to decouple as much rainwater from the detached areas as possible from the common sewer. This aims mostly everyday rain in the area handled locally. In heavy rain and extreme rain is overflow to adjacent areas.
All roads in the area decoupled from the common sewer, so all rainwater that falls on the roads, handled on the surface, either along the curb, in the trenches or in the rain asking roadside. From single family areas, the water continued to rain pray and to a greater vandhåndterende stairways at the Western Cemetery, and pass over the cemetery in both surface solutions and a closed pipe system.
