The EVH GmbH operates in Halle Dieselstraße a power plant, which of the two systems:

- heating (heat-generating system for the generation of district heat with two hot water boilers (HWK1 and 2) and three steam generators (DE 2 - 4) and

- CCPP (cogeneration system for generating electricity and district heating, consisting of 2 blocks, each with a gas turbine, a waste heat boiler with supplemental firing and a steam turbine is (Block A and B).

The EVH GmbH intends to exercise and expansion of the combined cycle plant. is upgraded, the upgraded in 2005 combined cycle system with two identical combined cycle blocks (blocks A and B) with district heating, an electrical power of 47 MW and a district heating power of 55 MW per block as well as a district heating memory with a storage capacity of 280 MWh. The existing combined cycle power plant is extended by a block C with an electric power of about 50 MW.

The gas turbine generator package for the block C should have the following characteristics:

- Electrical Power 40 - 60 MW,

- black start and island capable

- suitable for primary control,

- start time of start command to full load of max. 7 minutes.

The sound emissions at the location must be kept as low as possible, that there are noise-reducing measures, for example by reducing the entry pressure losses, that is, by the construction of a filter house enlarged or increased air channel cross-section to provide.

The firing of the gas turbine systems is carried out exclusively on natural gas. In terms of emissions, the limit values ​​of the 13th BImSchV currently binding.
