Tenders are invited for Car Park Construction and Civil Works at Caloundra Junior Rugby League Club - Central Park Precinct, Caloundra.

One of Council’s core responsibilities is the maintenance of the sealed road network across the Sunshine Coast region. Roads for resealing, rehabilitation and works, are selected annually using a maintenance management system. This system determines the sections of roads and associated works within the network that will need to be maintained or upgraded, in order to achieve or extend the working life of the asset, or to provide an increased level of service.

Tenders are invited from road construction companies to undertake the reseal, rehabilitation and re-construction of sections of road as part of Council’s road maintenance and construction program.

The contract comprises the following separable portions:

Separable Portion A

Part 1 - Road Reseal, Rehabilitation and Construction of Asphalt Day Works Program

This work is classed as day works and comprises the following:

  1. Cart and Lay of Asphalt day works;
  2. Supply, Cart and Lay of Asphalt;
  3. Profiling; and
  4. Supply, Cart and Lay associated bitumen sealing works.

Part 2 - Road Reseal, Rehabilitation and Construction of Asphalt Night Works Program

This work is classed as night works and includes Polymer Modified Binder (PMB) asphalt works and comprises the following:

  1. Supply, Cart and Lay of Asphalt including night works;
  2. Profiling; and
  3. Supply, Cart and Lay associated bitumen sealing works.

Separable Portion B - Mill and Fill Pavement Repairs

  1. Profile, Cart and Lay (material supplied by Council from the Image Flat Quarry);
  2. Profile, Supply, Cart and Lay; and
  3. Preparation, tack coat and disposal of profiled and surplus material.

Construction of Wheel Wash Bays - Caloundra and Nambour Landfills

The Queensland Government is seeking tenders to undertake the Tingira Street (Cairns) Boat Ramp Widening and Floating Walkway Construction.

The scope of works include:

  1. Detailed design of floating walkway and supply RPEQ certified drawings and Design Report.
  2. Demolish existing stone pitched shoulder on downstream boat ramp lane side.
  3. Prepare subgrade to design levels and treat acid sulfate soils.
  4. Supply and placement of geotextile in the subgrade of the work platform.

  6. Supply, placement and compaction of 75mm crushed rock for the work platform including encasement with the geogrid.

  10. Construct grouted rock shoulders to new downstream lane.
