The UNECA/SRO-CA has a requirement for the establishment of a Long Term Contract (2+2+1 years) for the provision of the Inspection, Operation, Maintenance and Repair Services on the Plumbing, Electrical, Air-conditioning, Fire Protection and other relevant Electro-Mechanical Equipment and Installations in its premises.
The contractors shall take into consideration the typology and activities to be carried out in the areas, as well as the equipment to be used for the proper inspection, maintenance and installation. The works shall consist in:
- Study, inspection and survey to take all necessary information to perform the service activity;
- Adherence to the work program and planned service activities, based on the approval of the definitive work programme;
The electromechanical maintenance are considered to include, but not limited to:
a. Preventive Maintenance: Routine works to be performed every three (3) months which will include three different stages:
- Inspection service;
- Preparation of Detailed Technical Inspection Report (DTIR)
- Maintenance Service
b. Repair Maintenance Service
The Repair Maintenance Service shall consist in the following:
- Preparation of a complete and detailed Repair Report (If replacement of parts occurred);
- Proposed remedial measures, material (i.e. detailed list of spare parts necessary for repairs), cost and time required;
- Indication of additional services, if required.
N.B.: The repair of any system will be done on a “AS AND WHEN REQUIRED” basis, and only if approved by the UNECA/SRO-CA representative.
For the extra Repair Services to be performed as and when required, the tasks will depend on the nature of the fault.
The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage, soon after the closing date of this EOI.
UNECA/SRO-CA reserves the right to award one contract for the whole electromechanical maintenance to one vendor or to award contracts to more than one vendor, based on different sector of activities.

UNECA/SRO-CA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issue. Only vendors which in UN’s sole discretion are deemed eligible and qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents.
