Civil Engineering and finishing Works for the Tokamak Complex, Assembly Hall and Surrounding Buildings including Design, Manufacture and Installation of Heavy Nuclear Doors.
Increase of contingency captured in Amendment 5 of the contract F4E-OPE-286 for the construction of the Tokamak Complex, Assembly Hall and Surrounding Buildings and the design, manufactured installation of heavy nuclear doors on the ITER facilities at Cadarache (France) to cover the following items:
— Impacts arisen from increase of complexity of the works
— Extension of Time related cost
— Provision for increase of re-measurable quantities.
— The Contractor has claimed for a financial impact due to an increase of complexity mainly resulting in loss of productivity of the performed works, such as form-work, concreting, embedded plates, etc. with the relevant need for additional equipment.
— The foreseen duration of the Tokamak Complex Civil Works has increased due to the complexity of the works. A partial agreement has been reached with the Contractor in Amendment 5 to cover manpower, staff supervision and equipment until Feb 2018.
— Further changes of the initial quantities of the re-measurable items have become necessary due to the implementation of ITER Organization Project Change Requests (PCRs).
