The Services will be provided under two separate contracts, both of which will be awarded to the same supplier. Equipment Replacement — Borough of Poole Only The equipment replacement contract will consist of the following Year 1 — replacing 8640 lanterns with LED lanterns. Year 2 — replacing 4390 lamp columns and associated lanterns (new lanterns to be LED). Year 3 — replacing 4390 lamp columns and associated lanterns (new lanterns to be LED). The planned start date for this contract is August 2015 Maintenance — Borough of Poole and Bournemouth Borough Council. The Council are proposing to Contract for the supply of vehicle and plant parts including workshop consumables via a supplier managed inventory service. The services' will include a ‘One Stop Shop' for managing the supply of vehicle and plant parts relating to the Council's fleet (see attached appendix 2014). The selected Contractor shall be responsible for the supply of goods as the preferred but not exclusive Supplier through their own and/or other distribution networks for the following: — Body parts; — Chassis parts; — Hydraulic Parts and Oils; — Filtration and Lubricants; — Electrical and Lighting Components; — Engine Parts; — Suspension, Transmission and Braking Parts; — Fitted Ancillary Equipment Parts including Lifting Equipment, Pressure Vessels, Sweeper Gear, brushes, skirts; — Workshop Consumables. This arrangement will exclude Tyres and Associated Parts, and excludes services not associated with parts supply such as vehicle cleaning, bodywork repairs, MOT and other inspections The proposed Contract will provide for the ‘on-request' supply of Vehicle and Plant Parts on an imprest and as required basis to meet the daily demands of the Vehicle Workshops. The Contractor will be permanently based in the Council's workshop premises, covering hours of 8:00 hrs-17:30 hrs and will manage the daily administration and operation of: Vehicle parts acquisition, Parts stock control and Issuing of parts, Invoicing the Council on a daily basis, Communications with and reporting to the Council's staff. The proposed contract term will be 5 years plus 1 year plus an additional year. The annual demand for this contract period is expected to be in the order of: 325 000 GBP. Borough of Poole operates an on-going fleet replacement strategy which may change the future fleet profile and quantities. No guarantee is given or implied as to the quantities of goods or categories of goods that will be taken under the proposed arrangement.

During the works, the car park is to remain operational and open to the public. The contractor will be permitted to close the number of spaces specified in the Specification. Tenderers are required to price two options: Option 1 and Option 2. The additional work associated with Option 2 is clearly differentiated within the Specification. Tenderers should note that Authority's decision to award on the basis of Option 1 or Option 2 has a dependency on additional funding linked to Legal and General's wider imminent decision to invest in the refurbishment of the Dolphin Shopping Centre.
