Pembrokeshire Housing Group is looking to appoint suitable cleaning contractors to undertake its Communal Cleaning service, which ranges from small communal areas on housing estates to Sheltered Housing and ‘Homes for Life’ schemes. The Sheltered Housing & Homes for Life areas require a person whose work is to a high standard and who can relate to the needs of the elderly. This tender has been divided into lots dependent on geographical areas of the County and a tenderer is able to either tender for individual lots, several lots or all lots. TUPE will apply to Lot 1 and Lot 2 only. There are 15 lots and a list of these are detailed in the specification section. In order to maintain supply contracts with these leading retailers, Puffin Produce has been at the forefront of continuous development that includes expansion of its facilities and range to motivate increased sales and product marketability. Puffin Produce plan investment by further increasing scale, efficiency and infrastructure of their current potato operation. As such, they are currently developing an improved process area requiring new equipment for cleaning, polishing and grading received ware potatoes. This invitation to tender is in request of quotes for two potato wash lines capable of washing and polishing 20-25t per hour (10-12.5t per hour each) of standard UK supermarket specification potatoes.
