F2410 - exposure assessment for activities involving hazardous substances in additive manufacturing processes - use of powder bed process Additive Manufacturing win in recent years become increasingly important. There are no longer produced only prototypes, but the technologies are also increasing in the field of mass production of industrial components used. Through the wide range of processes, it is now possible to process a variety of new materials also. In addition to powders and solids and liquids of different physical and chemical properties can be used. The aim of the project is to determine for a selected additive manufacturing process, the powder bed process for the production of components, the exposure of employees to hazardous substances. From the results of workplace measurements for inhalable and respirable dust and selected ingredients and possible volatile decomposition products are to be derived by comparison with occupational exposure limit values and judgment yardsticks standardized work processes in the form of a guidance document for good work practices and specific PMCA-protection guidelines. Within the project F2410 is to be determined in additive manufacturing process ( "additive manufacturing") the exposure of workers in the context of workplace measurements. Based on the results of a previous research project, the various powder bed process are investigated. The project duration is 25 months.
