Provision of Catering Services.

All Saints' Academy Cheltenham | Published May 2, 2015
Winner
Aspens Services Ltd
cpvs
55524000

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering and hospitality services at All Saints' Academy Cheltenham. The catering contract being offered will commence on 1.4.2015 for an initial period of 3 years, concluding on 31.3.2018, and will be offered on a guaranteed performance basis. The projected cost of catering for the current year is 170 000 GBP. The contract covers the scope for the provision of all catering services within the Academy, which currently includes breakfast club, morning break, lunch, all hospitality and free issue requirements. Free school meals and hospitality will be charged based on consumption and at net food cost. The Academy expects the successful contractor to enable the continued development of catering through the provision of an innovative, healthy food service, prepared on-site, in the ‘new', well-designed and equipped kitchen. The Academy intends to focus heavily on healthy, fresh, seasonal, locally sourced produce and sees the catering service as an exciting opportunity to compliment the overall uptake, student and parent experience, through the regular introduction of new ingredients, themed and promotional events. The successful contractor will be required to play their part in acting as a catalyst for improvement of the pupil experience. The Academy Pupil Council have identified improved ‘value for money' as a priority to pupils and this is perceived as key to encourage an increased uptake of the overall catering service provided. The successful contractor will work closely with the Academy to manage the provision of catering and the overall ‘meal experience', e.g. the introduction of a pre-order / pay sandwich service is under consideration. A biometric cashless system is already in operation, there are ample plasma screens to support dynamic promotional activities. The Academy invites bidders to consider what capital investment they may provide in support of plans for an additional outdoor catering outlet to further optimise pupil uptake.
