This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN). Teagasc intends to publish one or more
Requests for Tenders for the provision of Facilities Management Services at all
Teagasc offices nationwide. Teagasc may separate this into individual lots or
competitions for cleaning and catering services or may amalgamate these
services into a combined facilities management contract along with other services.
Teagasc will also be seeking Architectural services.

This PIN is for information only. It is not a call for tenders, nor is it a commitment

Proposals from Tenderers are being sought to provide a comprehensive catering facility and service to Sacred Heart Secondary School. It is intended to award a contract to a single service provider. The School requires the provision of healthy, balanced and nutritious catering service to students at affordable prices. A high quality, flexible and responsive service is required combined with continuous improvement and innovation for the 33 weeks of the year on which the school operates (School calendar will be issued to the successful tenderer). This may include the days when state examinations take place. Users of the canteen will be mainly comprised from the student population but will include teaching and ancillary staff and visitors to the school.
The School welcomes all proposals on the selling of the food in the canteen however it should be noted that the menu must be in line with the School’s Healthy Eating Policy in Appendix A1.17. Special Offers and/or theme menus are also welcome in order to attract student’s interest. The service provider may also, with notice, be required to provide tea/coffee and/or light snacks for a small number of events that may arise from time to time out of the ‘normal’ hours associated with the school e.g. Staff Meetings, Board Meetings, Visiting groups, Student Graduations, Parent teacher meetings.
This provider may need to fit-out (preferably to be commenced the week beginning the 28th November 2016 (subject to review), operate and manage the canteen in the school from 9th January 2017.
