Slough Borough Council (“SBC”) would like to employ the services of a high quality catering company to provide catering services at the Councils Head Office St Martins Place.
The Council’s Head Office has approximately 800 staff and is locally situated near other Council satellite sites. This means that there could be up to 900 in footfall including visitors and staff from other Council sites.
Compass Catering the incumbent service provider currently run the canteen services at Councils Head Office St Martins Place. The catering service contract with the incumbent service provider expires at the end of April 2017. SBC are of the firm belief that TUPE of 1 x full time equivalent personnel may be applicable. Potential bidders are advised to seek clarification with respect to TUPE.
The Council is seeking a dynamic supplier to provide Catering (hot and cold food service, with hot/cold beverages) at its Head Office, operating on zero subsidy.
The Contract will be for an initial 2 year period with an option to extend for a maximum of two (2), one (1) yearly extension periods reviewed on an annual basis based on satisfactory performance.
In return, the successful Supplier will be provided with free accommodation that as well as a secure storage room suitably equipped for large fridges with air conditioning, to assist with running the service.
The existing setup of the canteen is illustrated in the images in Appendix F.
If the supplier wishes to refurbish this space (i.e.) repaint or replace the seating and tables, this will have to be at their own expense but the supplier must outline their proposal with full details including a design layout and project plan outlining timescales as part of their tender submission, for the Authority to consider and approve.
