The USDA NRCS is preparing to issue a solicitation for work authorized under the Emergency Watershed Protection Program to relieve imminent hazards to life and property due to a major flood event March 3-6, i015 impacting Braxton County, West Virginia. The project consists of restoring and stabilizing approximately 90 feet of stream along Salt Lick Creek, located in the town of Burnsville, Braxton County, WV. Rock riprap is going to be installed to stabilize and protect the stream bank and disturbed areas are to be graded and seeded to provide positive drainage and vegetative cover.
