Title of Project: Rehabilitate Paradise Inn Annex and Connection Snowbridge, Mount Rainier National Park, MORA 152787 Description: The proposed work will complete the life, safety, and seismic rehabilitation of the Annex and Snowbridge at the Paradise Inn/Annex National Historic Landmark complex. This includes the replacement of the existing stone rubble foundation with a reinforced concrete foundation with stone veneer cut from stone rubble; a storm drain and ground water diversion system to divert groundwater/surface storm water away from the building; and water main to building replacement. The scope includes seismic building improvements to include installation of shear walls and plywood diaphragms; installation of acoustic materials, abatement of hazardous materials, building repair to include damaged structure and connections from water infiltration; code compliant plumbing and electrical system upgrades; fire suppression system including interior upgrades to comply with fire and life/safety codes; replacement/repair of all windows, residing, reroofing, installation of interior finishes, repair/installation of historic molding. The scope also includes the removal, storage and reinstallation of all Annex furniture. Type of Procurement: A negotiated, firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The government will consider an offeror's technical capability in comparison to its price. This project consists of work elements in three separate locations within Yavapai County Arizona and within two forests - Prescott National Forest and the Coconino National Forest. Site 1: Lynx Creek Bridge is located in the Prescott National Forest and near Prescott, Arizona. This site consists of replacement of a one lane bridge with a new two lane structure and associated approach roads. The bridge is located on Walker Road (CR 57). The replacement structure is a precast, pre-stressed concrete box beam structure with phased construction. Site 2: Thumb Butte Road is located near Prescott, Arizona and is located in the Prescott National Forest. Thumb Butte Road is also known as County Route 65.
