NAICS: 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: $36.5 million Phase I Estimated Solicitation Date: July 8, 2015 Phase I Estimated Response Date: August 7, 2015 PROJECT OVERVIEW: The Two-Phase Design-Build project will renovate approximately 800 square feet of existing space on the first floor of Building 200 and on the second floor of Building 162 at the James H. At the closing date of the Phase I solicitation, the government shall evaluate responsive proposals received in response to Phase I of the solicitation to short-list no more than three (3) contractors for Phase II. Only those successful firms selected as a result of Phase I evaluations will be requested to submit technical and pricing proposals for Phase II. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the deepening and Shoal removal from the existing elevation of 48 to 50 feet (MLW) in the contract area to a depth of 50 to 53 feet (MLW). The project area is located Anchorage Channel in New York/New Jersey Harbor between Staten Island and Brooklyn. The Project consists of the dredging and placement of non-rock HARS suitable materials. The non-rock materials suitable for the HARS placement will be placed at the designated HARS site. The scope of work also includes the sampling and testing of subsurface materials if needed This solicitation is subject to FAR Part 14 sealed bidding procedures and is UNRESTRICTED with Hubzone Preference and is open to all prospective bidders. All bids must be received on time to be considered. The IFB will be evaluated based on price with award being made to the lowest responsible bidder. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 and the small business standard size is $27,500,000. The SIC Code is 1629. The estimated range for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
