Campus Solutions Managed Service

University of Nottingham | Published March 14, 2017  -  Deadline April 13, 2017
cpvs
72600000, 72200000, 72800000

The University is seeking a strategic partner to deliver a managed service for Oracle Campus Solutions.

This approach will seek to deliver a support model which:

— Eliminates as far as is possible the need to own both hardware and the supporting operating system environments — i.e. reduces the need for capital to near zero.

— Provides a more scalable platform — the ability to throttle capacity up and down, as the business demand changes.

— Gives the business a clear and transparent cost model of providing the core platform.

— Gains from economies of scale by sharing infrastructure resources and new technologies, better than we are able to do for ourselves.

— Provides a more responsive DR capability with a shorter recovery to operation time (RTO).

— The ability to leverage partner resources as required.

— Delivers development and configuration capability of the required skill level.

— Positions the University to leverage that platform going forward.

Soft Market Testing is a method of gathering market intelligence on a given subject area by engaging with the providers of the goods/services required. Nottingham Revenue & Benefits Ltd (NRB Ltd) is to undertake a soft market testing exercise to canvass external providers of recruitment & training for Benefits and Council Tax colleagues. For the purpose of this exercise, it is important to note that we are looking for a provider able to advertise, recruit, train and test groups of high calibre individuals in a short window. NRB is based in Nottingham city centre. The company requires a recruitment solution which can deliver against both forecast recruitment windows and which is also able to react swiftly to new requirements. The numbers of staff required will vary and NRB Ltd is seeking to minimise the length of time from the need arising to having trained, high calibre staff operational. A rigorous process including selection, referencing, DBS checks and training is required.
