The Financial Operations Department (FOD) is tasked with managing IFAD’s financial resources proactively and making them available as needed for the Fund’s programme of work and budget. FOD comprises the Office of the Associate Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Controller (FFO), the Financial Management Services Division (FMD), the Accounting and Controller’s Division (ACD) and the Treasury Services Division (TRE). Corporate responsibilities for financial management (FM) of IFAD-financed activities and operations worldwide have been vested in FMD.
Objectives of the RFP:
In order to ensure compliance with minimum financial management standards and to identify those individual consultants with whom IFAD can best engage to the benefit of the projects it funds, IFAD is performing a two stage consultant accreditation process:
a) undertake a global search process for freelance4 consultants who can contribute to financial management in IFAD-financed projects; and
b) screen candidates who have the required professional qualifications, skills and experience and test their FM capacities as a basis for being included in the rosters to conduct FM work with IFAD.
