The Service Provider will be required to provide a 24 hour, seven days a week guaranteed uninterrupted Taxi Service. The Service Provider must be able to provide the service at short notice and without restriction as to pick-up point or destination within Dublin and the Mid Leinster area. An uninterrupted service must be available at such times as Christmas, public holidays and during major sporting, cultural and other events. Every effort must be made to keep delays to a minimum. The Contracting Authority must be advised of any anticipated delays at the time of bookings. If a delay arises post-booking the person making the booking must be advised as soon as is practicably possible. The Service Provider must provide written reports on any incidents that may occur when engaged on Peamount Healthcare related business. A dedicated Driver and Wheelchair Accessible Taxi will be required for a resident of the Hospital. The park is made up of six different development precincts .The University lands are located at precinct II .The lands are currently home to the University’s main outdoor sports facilities. The UCC lands are located at the south east of the park. The overall area of UCC lands is 16.3 hectares. It is proposed to develop these lands on a phased basis using best international practise for the development of science and innovation parks. The total gross floor space proposed for UCC lands within the framework masterplan is 107,350m2 .

As part of its business continuity planning, the Commission invites tenders for the provision on a contingency basis of call centre support services in the event of a collapse of a large travel company, an airline or other significant occurrence (e.g. the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud incident) which impacts on large numbers of the travelling public. The decision to invoke the services of the successful call centre will be taken by the Commission after an evaluation of the scale of the disruption, the expected volume of communications from the public and the in-house resources available.
