The LGMA currently provides support, consultancy and advice to local authorities & LGMA business units around all aspects of the network services infrastructure, from small local area networks, through to metropolitan infrastructures and on to national policy. The LGMA network comprises of • A 100/1000/10000 MB switched infrastructure, Cisco 4500 and lower, layer 2 & 3. • Cisco ASA, Checkpoint R77.30 and Microsoft ISA 2006 firewalls • Cisco 7200 and lower routers • F5 LTM load balancers • F5 GTM DNS • Ruckus wireless infrastructure. The main protocol used by the LGMA is TCP/IP with routing protocols BGP and static routing. The LGMA operates its own Autonomous System (AS) with multiple networks using BGP routing policy. LGMA will be the primary interface and perform Level 1 (L1) support. The selected company will be required to support Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) calls. The LGMA expects to conclude an agreement for the acquisition of an 18-month contract to provide support, maintenance and advice on this infrastructure in conjunction with LGMA staff. Level 1 Support LGMA initial contact with customer and initial investigation and resolution if possible. Level 2 Support After initial investigation by LGMA, skills required by 3rd party company to resolve. Call escalated to company Level 3 Support Escalated internally in the 3rd party company to specialists (CCNP etc.)

Carlow County Council invites tenders to judge County Carlow's annual 'Pride of Place' competition 2017. This competition which has been running for 16 years has grown and evolved to encompass many community sectors and businesses. The competition is focused on giving recognition to Tidy Towns Groups, Resident Associations, Community Groups, Schools, Youth Groups and Business in County Carlow in terms of the works that they undertake to enhance the physical environment. A primary elements of this is the work that is undertaken to encourage sustainability and bio diversity. It is required that the successful applicant has a proven track record in undertaking similar type works and 3 references are required to be submitted with the expression of interest to tender for the service. The judge will be expected to visit each group, town, village, housing estate, burial ground or business that have entered the competition throughout County Carlow. They are required to provided a written report, which will include feedback, for each entrant. The judge will be required to complete a marking sheet and capture photographs from each entry. In all in 2016, there were 21 Tidy Towns/Village Improvement Groups , approximately 65 residents associations, 16 business of various sizes and 26 graveyards entered in the 'Pride of Place' awards. This culminated in an awards nights at the end of 2016. The categories included in the 'Pride of Place' awards are Litter Management, Community public open spaces improvement scheme, built heritage, allotments/community garden projects, waste minimisation, water conservation and streetscapes. The submission must include examples of judging this range projects in a similar role. The applicant must have their own insurance, tax details and vehicle and have a qualification in horticulture, ecology or equivalent and have a background in bio-diversity/environmental awareness. Price quoted must be fully inclusive in carry out the judging.

I-SEM, a new wholesale electricity market on the island of Ireland will represent a considerable change which will take into account all the requirements of the European Network Codes and the Target Model, including a change to four market timeframes. The solution will be required to interact with each of the I-SEM Markets, including: • I-SEM Forwards Market • Day Ahead Market- EPEX ETS System • Intra Day Market (This should include the Interim intraday market and also the transition to the enduring solution) – This should include both intraday auctions and the continuous intraday trading markets. The City Council has a suite of 20 websites, which are integrated into our Web Content Management System (CMS) This CMS is scheduled to be upgraded to version 8.1 in Quarter 1, 2017. The number of council websites varies from time to time. These websites are automatically uploaded by FTP from our CMS to our current website hosting service provider. There have been 2 million sessions with approximately 6 million pageviews to our suite of websites in the last 12 months. The main City Council website also provides a number of ‘online services’ (www.corkcity.ie/onlineservices/) that are hosted by the ICT and Business Services department.
