STATE OF MAINE - FY 16 REPAIR PACKAGE Intent: It is the intent of the Maritime Administration to solicit Contractors to provide all labor, materials and services (except where noted as being government furnished) to perform various maintenance, inspections, and repairs to systems and equipment aboard the Training Ship, TS State of Maine. In addition, this work involves the procurement and delivery of various parts and equipment to the ship. Background: The TS STATE OF MAINE is a U.S. Government owned training ship provided to the Maine Maritime Academy for the purpose of training young men and women for a career in the U.S. Maritime Industry. The ship is part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) and maintains a U.S. Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection (COI) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Classification with the following designations and notations: USCG Service / ABS Description: Public Nautical Schoolship. SOLAS Category: Cargo Ship. MARPOL Category: Not an Oil Tanker. ABS Class Notations: The ship is enrolled in a Continuous Hull and Continuous Machinery Survey with ABS. As a Public Nautical School Ship and Cargo Ship (non-tanker), the regulations of 46 CFR 167, in addition to ABS Rules and SOLAS Regulations for a Cargo Ship (non-tanker), govern all work performed aboard. Work Description: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and services (except where noted as being government furnished) to accomplish the following work ITEMs in accordance with all ABS Rules and USCG and SOLAS Regulations as follows: •1. Liferafts - Inspection And Servicing •2. Life Boat Davits And Rescue Boat Davits - Inspections And Servicing •3. Fire Detection And Extinguishing Systems - Inspections And Servicing •4. Scbas And Breathable Air Compressor - Inspections And Servicing •5. Safety Radio And Svdr Test - Inspections And Servicing •6. Machinery Vibration And Infrared Survey •7. Slop Oil - Removal Of 20,000 Gallons •8. Relief And Safety Valves - Inspections And Servicing •9. Hot Water Heater - Replacement •10. Mooring Bitts - Modifications •11. Automation Spares - Procurement •12. Lifeboat Platforms - Repairs •13. SSDG #1 & 3 Insulation Blankets - Fabrication And Installation •14. Main Engine Automatic Lube Oil Filter - Procurement And Installation •15. Galley And Mess Deck Equipment - Inspections And Servicing •16. Chillers - Remove Existing, Procure Two New And Install. •17. Clothes Dryer Exhaust Ducting - Cleaning •18. Centrifugal Oily Water Separator - Repairs •19. Freshman Berthing Shower Area 2-100-1 - Upgrade Period of Performance: The overall period of performance for this SOW shall be from the date of contract award (approximately late December 2015) through January 1, 2017, however, the Contractor shall be aware that different Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) have different completion dates.

Inspection, Maintenance and Testing of 4 Lifeboat Davits and 2 Rescue Boat Davits. •· Inspection, Maintenance and Testing of Fire Detection and both Portable and Fixed Fire Extinguishing Systems. Inspection, Maintenance and Testing of 25 SCBAs and 1 Breathable Air Compressor. •· Performance of Safety Radio Survey. •· Performance of Machinery Vibration Survey and Electrical Equipment Infrared Survey. •· Removal and Disposal of 20,000 gallons Slop Oil. •· Inspection , Maintenance and Testing of Exhaust Gas and Oil Fired Boiler and Steam System. Modification to 6 Mooring Winch Drums to create split drums. Period of Performance: The overall period of performance for this SOW shall be from the date of contract award, approximately 5 December 2014 through January 1, 2016, however, the Contractor shall be aware that different ITEMs have different completion dates. References: Some of the drawings and documents referenced in the Statement of Work are available electronically and can be emailed to interested contractors upon written request to the Contracting Officer listed below. Other documents and manuals must be viewed aboard the ship during the ship check. Ship Check: A ship check shall be held on November 12, 2014 aboard the ship in Castine, ME from 0800-1600 hrs.
