Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Hardware and Ancillary Equipment INTRODUCTIONThe Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Aircraft Division, Patuxent River (also referred to as the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD)) intends to procure under solicitation# N00421-17-R-0010, on a competitive basis, Polycom and Cisco brand name Video Teleconferencing (VTC) hardware and ancillary equipment pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(c). Following that objective is the requirement of optional installation/ integration services, and then required maintenance/ support services to facilitate technology lifecycle management. Services shall include support of previously purchased VTC/ ancillary equipment currently in use at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) offices throughout the United States and its territories as well as new materials purchased on this new contract vehicle. Description of Work:
The Department of National Defence requires the services of two Telecommunication System Specialists at the senior and intermediate levels to provide direct support to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) line crews to conduct antenna, tower and cable plant maintenance at CFB Kingston at the Materiel Maintenance Facility (MMF) . These services include identifying, cataloguing and maintaining configuration control in the DND supply system of the military materiel used in the Assistant Deputy Minister Information Management (ADM(IM)) group. These services also include the managed strategic Radio and Antenna Systems, Satellite Communications Systems, Remote Sensing Satellite Systems, Secured Video Teleconferencing Systems, the Canadian Defence Red Switched Network (CDRSN), the Deployed Operations Gateway, Domestic and Deployed Cabling Systems.

Customer requirements are developed through a consolidated ordering process in which each cognizant activity coordinates the phased development of customer requirements, contracting, installation oversight, end-user training, and maintenance, repair, and warranty support. Audiovisual infrastructure consists primarily of classrooms, auditoriums, conference rooms, teleconferencing and multi-functional facilities (e.g., mission- centric configuration) for MCINCR-MCBQ and tenant commands. Requirements will be coordinated under compressive delivery order that provides cost-effective support under a single work statement.
