In April 2010 Solihull Community Housing (SCH) launched Solihull Independent Living (SIL), an agency to help vulnerable people who are older persons, disabled or on a low income to repair, improve, maintain or adapt their homes. They are a local, not-for-profit organisation. SIL brings services previously provided by SCH, Solihull Council and Solihull Care Trust under 1 umbrella. SIL is the agency responsible for carrying out adaptations for SCH tenants, private sector tenants and homeowners across the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull. SIL is looking to appoint an architectural firm to provide the services to support the delivery of its adaptation works. The required service is to include, but not be limited to: — arranging and undertaking visits to residential properties to survey; — production of scheme sketch drawings; — production of full scheme drawings, Specification and Schedule of Works pricing documents; — applications for Building Regulations and Planning Permission; — all necessary Structural Calculations; — completion of all necessary 3rd party wall consent agreements. The required service may also include the management of works on site, to include: — pre-construction CDM plan and F10 applications; — weekly site visits including reports to SIL; — management of health and Safety including reports to SIL; — verification of payment certificates; — final certification pack preparation. It is anticipated that the Contract shall commence 1.9.2015. The proposed term of this Contract is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend, subject to performance, by up to a further 3 twelve month periods. The Contract value is estimated at GBP 125 000 per annum. The successful contractor is to be selected through a formal tender process. In order to be considered for inclusion on SCH's select list of contractors who are to be invited to tender, contractors must express an interest in this tender and complete a set of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire document(s). The closing date for the submission of completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaires is no later than 12:00 noon on Monday 9.2.2015. Additional Information. Briefing Session: A briefing session lasting approximately one hour is being held on Monday 19 January, where the SCH Procurement Officer and Contract Administrator will explain the details of the contract and outline the procurement procedure. Please see the attached PQQ letter for details of how to register your interest in attending this session. TUPE: Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) will not apply in respect of this contract. Social Value: The contract is to be procured and delivered in accordance with the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 and all bidders will be expected to collaborate with SCH to deliver improvements to the borough of Solihull through the delivery of this contract.
