Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome Trust seeks to appoint a multi-disciplinary design team for its Reach for the Sky project to sensitively stabilise, conserve, restore surviving buildings (Listed Grade 2*); create a new standalone Welcome Centre including a cafe and shop; develop the existing Officers' Accommodation Block into the central hub of the site with gallery, museum and learning spaces.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Architect lead multi-disciplinary design teams who wish to be considered for inclusion on a select list of tenderers to provide the highest standards of design, conservation and presentation.
The appointment will include the following services:
— Architect (Lead Consultant) incorporating Conservation design; Landscape design; and interior design and Contract Administration;
— Structural Engineer;
— Mechanical and Electrical Engineer;
— Principal Designer (CDM);
— Access Consultant;
— Fire Engineer and Building Control.

The estimated construction value is in the region of 21 000 000 GBP although this is subject to change dependent upon further development of the site and the associated works in connection with the overall development such as car parking. The design team will be led by the Architect who will perform lead consultant duties. The design team services are to include: Lead Consultant, Lead Designer and Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Structural and Civil Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Services Engineer, Filtration Services Consultant, Principal Designer (Under CDM Regulations 2015), BREEAM assessor, Transport Consultant, Flood Risk Consultant, Landscape Architect, Building and Land Surveyor.
