Construction of faecal sewerage network for the waste-water treatment plant in the populated place Trpejca-Ohrid

The Basic Design for the waste-water treatment plant for the populated place Trpejca, Ohrid consists of Book -1 Secondary and primary sewerage network for the populated place Trpejca, (Book 1.1 Hydrotechnics, Book 1.2 Electrics and Book 1.3 Statics calculation) and Book-2 Waste-water treatment plant (Book 2.1 Hydrotechnics, Book 2.2 Electrics and Book 2.3 Architecture and Book 2.4 Statics calculation).

The Basic Design for the waste-water treatment plant for the populated place Trpejca, Ohrid envisages local treatment of the waste waters in the populated place Trpejca or engineering of decentralized sewerage pressurized system with separate (local) waste-water treatment plant (WWTP) positioned near the road Ohrid-Sv. Naum at a distance of approximately 1 000 m from the populated place.

Sewerage pressurized system consists of branch-like network of pipelines with small diameter of service laterals — mainly D=40/60 mm, etc. ‘grinder’ pumping stations serving all users of the sewerage system.

Sewerage network in the populated place, besides sewerage pressurized system, will also include conventional gravitational pipelines in part and submersed pipeline to the location envisaged as site for the waste-water treatment plant (WWTP). The overall length of the pipelines is 4 450 meters.

It is also envisaged to set 52 grinder pumping stations, development of 3 re-pumping stations, 1 central pumping station, engineering of electrical installations, as well as engineering of 56 manholes.

The Basic Design for the waste-water treatment plant for the populated place Trpejca is technical solution with elaborated treatment, calculations and graphical appendixes. Treatment of the waste-water for organic matter has been envisaged to be biological treatment with CB Reactors, while chemical treatment has been envisaged to include removal of phosphates from treated water. Owing to the geographical position of the plant and the fact that Ohrid Lake is the recipient, tertiary treatment is envisaged as well, with disinfection by UV lamps in order to ensure safe discharge of the treated water.
