Kildare County Council proposes to establish and operate multi-party Framework Agreements for Architect Lead Design Team Services primarily to provide consultancy services in connection with the provision of or alteration to the Contracting Authorities new social housing stock. The range of projects which will fall under the scope of the Framework Agreement will include but is not limited to: — New multi-unit social housing schemes on green or brown field sites; — Small infill housing schemes; — Major refurbishment of multiple existing dwellings, occupied or unoccupied. Services to be provided may also include feasibility studies and reports related to housing developments or sites. Services may also be required in connection with non housing related structures such as libraries, community centres, fire stations, offices and other structures in the ownership or control of Kildare County Council. The proposed Framework Agreement is intended to run for an initial 12-month term with the option to extend for a further 3 12-month terms (a maximum total term of 48 months or 4 years). The nature of the consultancy services that Kildare County Council wishes to avail of will be in the form of a design team lead by the Architect as the design team leader. Each of the other construction consultants, Structural/Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Project Supervisor for the Design Phase will be sub-consultants to the design team leader.

Kildare County Council are seeking to appoint an Architect lead integrated design team for the conversion of Naas Town Hall into Naas Town Library. The Proposed Naas Town Hall Library project is located at North Main Street, Naas East, Naas, Co. Kildare. The subject property is a 3 storey detached former jail building. Originally built in 1796 by the old Naas Corporation. In 1904 the building was renovated into a Town Hall. The property is provided with an Italian classical style facade including a feature twin-faced clock. The building is included on the Record of Protected Structures within the current Kildare County Council Development Plan. Ref: NS19-047.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is planning the design and construction of a new acute inpatient ward block development at the University Hospital Limerick Campus, Dooradoyle, Limerick to be constructed overhead the hospital's new emergency department (at level 0) and dialysis unit (at level 1). A total of 4 inpatient wards, each containing 24 single inpatient rooms are envisaged along with hospital street link corridors at each level. The proposed building extension is anticipated to be in the region of 1 935 m2 overall per level giving a gross floor area of circa 7 750 m2 for the project excluding plant room space which will be additional. The Health Service Executive now wish to procure and appoint a design team for the project to include Architect (including Employers Representative and Project Supervisor Design Process roles), Fire Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer and Civil and Structural Engineer. The ward design will be to a high quality standard.

Kildare County Council (Contracting Authority) plans to carry out public realm improvement schemes in a number of towns throughout County Kildare over the coming years. In order to assist with the design and delivery of these schemes it is proposed to establish a Framework Agreement for Urban Designers. This will be established for a maximum 4 year period. Kildare County Council will draw-down services from this Framework Agreement as and when required. Kildare County Council is currently developing proposals for public realm improvement works to Emily Square in Athy. The Emily Square project will also be used as the initial project for the purposes of establishing the Framework Agreement and Kildare County Council intends to award this services contract as the initial contract under the Framework Agreement.
