The building at Konrad-Lerch-Ring 6 in Offenbach an der Queich is currently used as a technical administrative building of the municipality Offenbach as a city hall. The condition of the building currently has a number of distinctive technical and visual defects. This lead to significant limitations of job grades and very high maintenance and operating costs. On the basis of detailed preliminary studies it was decided to abandon the current City Hall, and to build on the same plot a new building.
The site for the planned new town hall is located immediately east of the existing administration building. The building will include the seat of the municipal administration space for about 55-60 management workstations and the usual special rooms a local government (z. B. The design contract refers to the rehabilitation and extension of Geschwister-Scholl-Schule in Offenbach (comprehensive school with full-day program; currently about 550 pupils / students in 22 classes).
