Building of the Institute for Manufacturing Technology and quality assurance of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are to be renovated to meet today's requirements for modern, the university needs sufficient teaching and research spaces on the campus of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
Such invitations to tender the building planning § 34 HOAI and structural engineering § 51 HOAI
the extensive renovation of buildings 12 and 12.1. However, it represents an explicit user request to obtain the greatest possible extent the character of the building. OG in this processed region (increase).
Building 12 is a 3-storey, U-shaped masonry with a perforated façade and an inwardly inclined bitumen roof with curtain-drainage channel. The building will be equipped with a barrier-free accessible sanitary facilities. This includes installation of a passenger elevator. The space and function program is implemented according to the rules relating to the proper operation of Municipal Property Management and the guidelines of the funding Saxony-Anhalt STARK III plus ERDF. The building envelope is energetically to rehabilitate according to the EnEV and the service equipment including the bathrooms are renewed.

The outdoor areas are during construction to adapt to barrier-free and suitable for children. Here, the drainage pipes must be replaced.
