The Staatsoper Unter den Linden was built in 1743 as the Royal Opera House by Georg Wenzelslaus of Knobelsdorffstraße. Due to fires, war damage and requirement changes, it was completely rebuilt several times in its more than 250-year history. Today's opera building was reconstructed in 1951-55 by the architect Richard Paulick on historical models and is since 1979 listed. Under the proposed general repairs to the entire complex of the State Opera, consisting of opera building, Intendanz- and magazine building will be remodeled and refurbished sustainably while preserving the heritage-protected surfaces. Object of the performance is the restoration and replacement of an arbor with four children figurines made of sandstone on the component C West facade. The individual stone elements were dismantled and stored on site. The Wandpilaster were not removed and remained on site. The old system consists of individual elements with four pillars, architraves, cornices, pedestals and child figures as light carrier on the pedestals standing. The performance of the services shall be documented. The quality of the documentation should be based on "Instruction Sheet for creating documentation in the restoration and maintenance of historical buildings" of Landesdenkmalamt Berlin.
