KCCO Online Agricultural Commodity Futures Information, Market News, and Support AG-645S-S-15-0002 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 13.5 and FAR 15 Contract by Negotiation as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. A Firm-Fixed Price award will be issued in writing to the successful offeror based on competitive source selection procedures contained in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 13 & 15. Synopsis: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency's (FSA) Kansas City Commodity Office (KCCO) performs a broad range of agricultural related responsibilities in support of the Agriculture Act of 2014 (Farm Bill). Responsibilities include the acquisition and disposal of commodities farmers pledged as collateral for marketing assistance loans, such as, wheat, corn, soybeans, oilseeds, cotton, peanuts, and other commodities, as well as, the management and regular analysis of the location, condition, and quantity of Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) Commodities inventories. To support this activity, KCCO established Posted County Prices (PCP) (calculated commodity value for each commodity in each county throughout the U.S.) to calculate commodity loan deficiency payments, commodity marketing assistance loan rates, and commodity marketing assistance loan repayments values for use by farmers participating in the loan programs at their local county FSA Service Center office. The resources needed for this support include: agricultural commodity futures prices, agricultural news, and daily cash grain price information.
