Satellite Picture Tasks agricultural control in 2017

The project aims to improve the area control in selected systems based on analysis of satellite images.

The first task is to make an early classification of crop groups and later a full classification of crops to alleviate the pressure and increase the quality of the control of the demand for more crops. Task two go on to make a screening of fields declared with cover crops. This screening takes place over several periods where the harvest date for the main crop, plowing SEMT appearance of vegetation in the fall is detected. The results are used as risk parameters in an intelligent risk selection of test fields. In this way, the population of fields to be checked in the field is reduced.

The third task Using the Sentinel-2 for automated determination of uniformity (option) that can be added by the Contracting Authority goes on to determine uniformity in a number of fields. This is determined today by manual examination of the fields based on a satellite image. The reason for this task is that it must be ensured that there is only one crop in the field before being authorized by "rapid field visits" where it is not ensured that the entire field is surveyed. In an automatic determination of uniformity, the workload for the manual review could be reduced.
