Bord na Mona require the chipping of c.80 000 weighed tonnes of logs over a 12 month period, priced in euro/tonne. The chipping process of the logs to the BnM specification involves chipping directly into walking floor trailers for immediate haulage of the wood-chip produced to Edenderry Power Station, Ballykilleen, Edenderry, Co. Offaly. The logs are stored at 8 location within 20 km to 80 km from the power plant. The logs to be chipped will in general average c.30 % moisture content but may range from 25 % to 35 % moisture.

Bord na Móna will employ external haulage for this material, separate tender running.

As part of this process, it is proposed to engage a suitably qualified contractor to set up an Irish lumpfish (Cyclopterus lumpus) broodstock and selective breeding programme at a duly licensed marine research facility in Ireland. This tender seeks the services of an ISO65 accredited certification body, for one year from 01 June 2013, to maintain the accreditation of the BIM aquaculture and Wild Seafood standards, to provide certification services and to progress development of certification services to meet market needs. The successful tenderer will also be responsible, in association with Technical Advisory Committees (Aquaculture) and Oversight Committees (Wild Seafood) for the development of the standards in accordance with industry best practice and European and National Legislation. The certification body engaged to provide these services, must be recognised and accredited by INAB or an equivalent European National accreditation body which is a signatory to the European Accreditation (EA) Multilateral Agreement.
